Our Journey

We are a family of animal lovers who like most pet owners love to give our pets healthy & nutritious snacks & rewards. Treating our pets makes us & them happy & we like happy! 

Jill has owned (or been owned) by dogs since she can remember, her first dog being Sam a black Labrador. Sam was one of those dogs that would let you do anything to him & with him so long as there was a treat at the end of it. Over the years Jill has owned a variety of breeds but Labs have always been a part of the family.

In 2015, Jill found herself without a four-pawed friend after losing her rescue GSD, saying (as many do) no more dogs, the pain of losing such a faithful friend was a bit too much. However, saying & doing are two very different things! Flicking through the dogs on the Dogs Trust website up popped Bertie a 18-month-old Saint Bernard who found himself looking for a home, Jill was smitten.

• 2015 - Bertie arrives and two weeks later Bentley a fox red Lab arrives (Birmingham Dogs Home) to keep Bertie company.
• 2019 - Bo, another Saint Bernard (Dogs Trust), arrives to keep the boys in check.
• 2021- Branston (known as Pickle), a black Lab (On The Way Home), makes his entrance as Bentley's apprentice.
• 2022 - Barney, the bouncy Saint Bernard (Dogs Trust), joins us after we lost Bertie in early 2022.

Our B theme is our legacy to Bertie & Bentley who inspired Jill to open the Hungry Hownd.
